Lowell Fulson

Although not seen as a major figure in music, bluesman Lowell Fulson, had a long career and he's responsible for three fairly important things. One, he hired Ray Charles as a pianist, giving him his first gig. Two, he wrote a song called 'Tramp', that was later recorded by Otis Redding and Carla Thomas. And three, he wrote 'Reconsider Baby', which Elvis Presley recorded on his 1960 'Elvis is Back!' album, his first post army album. 

Most musicians would probably be happy with having done any of those!
