Neil Young

One of only a handful of artists who are known by their first name, Neil is so single minded you can't predict what he'll do next.

In May of 2003, Neil Young played three solo nights in the intimate surroundings of 1,000 seat Dublin venue, 'Vicar Street'. He performed his 'Greendale' album in full, with lengthy introductions, and a handful of classics as an encore.

It was a wonderful experience for me ( I was there two nights of the three) but the stage was so dark, that the candles really were the brightest thing on the stage. Shot from a tripod on the balcony of the venue, if you look closely, you'll see Neil's right hand moving due to such a slow shutter speed in this image.
