Ted Hawkins

Singer songwriter Ted Hawkins led an interesting life, and while he may have passed away in 1995, he packed a huge amount into his 59 years.

Busking on Venice Beach, California, and having made some unsuccessful recordings, Ted was 'discovered' by UK D.J. Andy Kershaw. With Kershaw's help, he finally saw much deserved commercial success.

At every gig he performed, he sat on the same milk crate he used while busking. On this particular night, he came onstage walking through the audience, while shadow boxing with a towel over his head.
